Join us THIS Wednesday Aug 26 for an afternoon of 'Harvesting for Health!' 🥕

Casa Marianella is partnering with Texas Health and Human Services Commission to host an event at Casa on Aug 26 to encourage self sustaining and affordable practices to food access. 🌽

Our benefits team will set up a table outdoors on Wednesday from 12:00pm-4:00pm and will have planting demonstrations to promote healthy eating at home! 🍏

Today, we remember the incredible Marianella García Villas, after whom Casa Marianella is named. ❤️

Marianella was a Salvadoran human rights activist, leader, and a symbol of strength and justice. Her extraordinary commitment to defending human rights continues to inspire the work we do every single day. Today we reflect on her remarkable legacy and the lasting impact she has had on our community and beyond. 🙏🏽

We had a lovely time hosting the Westminster Presbyterian Church () youth who visited & volunteered at Casa this month! ❤️

"We received a tour of the community, spent time talking with residents, and heard stories about the places many of them call home. We also had the opportunity to serve together by sorting dishes and clothing, and by painting a picnic table that reflected the many countries and cultures represented among the people we met. Thank you to Jennifer Long and the Casa Marianella staff for warmly welcoming our youth and opening their doors to us!"

We are deeply saddened to share that one of the founders of Casa Marianella, Elzy Cogswell, has passed away.

Elzy headed up the formation and early years of Casa Marianella. He played a key role in Casa's history and we mourn his passing.
