The risk of wildfires is high in Travis County! Take a few minutes this weekend to lower the risk of wildfires.

✅ Clean up your yard by getting rid of dead plants
✅ Trim trees that are too close to your house
✅ Clean gutters
✅ Install metal screens on vents (but don’t cover dryer vents)
✅ Use gravel, concrete blocks, or pavers around your home to create a non-ignition zone

🚧 Do you know how to protect your home from a wildfire?
Our risk of wildfires is HIGH right now in Travis County.

📌 Creating a 5-foot radius barrier around your home can slow down or stop the spread of wildfires.
📌 Clear debris and flammable items from around your house, patio, and deck
📌 Move items like garbage, wood piles, and propane tanks at least 30 feet from your home
📌 Remove anything stored under decks or around porches
📌 Have a water hose easily accessible
