It is almost Autumn which means that festival season in Austin, Texas is about to launch into full swing. Join Voices of Access host Celia Hughes when she speaks with David Grabias, co-director of Brailled It, and Louise Ho of Cinema Touching Disability. Brailled It has a national theatrical opening on Sept 4, and the 23rd Cinema Touching Disability Film Festival is September 5 for one day only. TUBU Fest is excited to welcome Max James Young-Jones as the director of Magic of the Small! Maxton James Young-Jones is a Playwright and Director from Philadelphia. He ‘s directed plays such as “The Cure at Troy”, “I Am My Own Wife” and, “ Angry Fags.”. His play “Raceplay” (written with Nicole Cunningham) was selected Arena Stage’s “Civil War Project” and he performed in Fro. Prison to Stage Actor at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. he is excited to be in Austin and is honored to direct at his first (but hopefully not his last) TUBU fest.

Denise Knebel has been an integral part of Art Spark Texas’ story. A retired veteran and artist, her journey with Art Spark Texas began in 2009 through Access Gallery. What started with participation in an exhibition grew into a leadership role helping shape the Veterans Strong Program.
