Travis County Democratic Party Chair Jessica Cohen sent her resignation message to State Democratic Party Chair Kendall Scudder Monday evening, citing “constant discord” … that “made it impossible to fundraise or bring unity….”

Cohen won the unpaid job in the March 2026 Democratic Party primary.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the loss of our friend Tim Mahoney after a recent illness. He led the Northeast Travis County Democrats for several years. He was a workhorse in the Democratic Party and the Environmental Community, he will be missed.
