🎓🚌 College starts with a visit!

This week, scholars from Wayside: Sci-Tech High School hit the road for college visits to University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and Central Texas College!

At Wayside, college visits are an important part of our mission to ensure ALL scholars graduate ready for college. There’s something powerful about stepping onto a college campus, exploring the classrooms and resources, and beginning to picture yourself as a college student. 💙

For our scholars, these visits aren’t just field trips—they’re opportunities to see what’s possible, ask questions, dream bigger, and visualize themselves there one day. 🎓✨

We’re proud to help our Ravens see their future and know that college is for ALL.

We’re excited to celebrate an important milestone for Wayside: Sci-Tech Middle & High School! In the latest Texas Education Agency (TEA) accountability ratings, our campus earned a B rating.

This achievement reflects the hard work of our scholars, educators, and families—and the progress we’re making together as we continue our mission to ensure ALL scholars graduate ready for college and prepared for success beyond high school.

We’re proud of our progress and focused on our future. There is still work to do, and we’re excited about what’s ahead for our Ravens!

Thank you to all the families of scholars who visited campus today for orientation. It was great seeing you all.

If you weren’t able to come today, we would love to see you at Meet the Teacher on July 30th. Phone calls to sign up will begin next week.

Additional backpacks and supplies are still available if needed.

New ClassDojo invitations are going out this evening. Please sign up for your scholars specific grade level account. Bit.lys are attached to the invites.

Your child’s grade level ClassDojo will soon have information on orientation, the Back Pack drive, Meet the Teacher, and more.

New scholars in grades 8-9 will need to sign up again. Your old middle school accounts will no longer have your grade level access.

Returning 10th-12th graders who have previously signed up are still good. If you never signed up in the past, now is your chance.

EOC STAAR testing is this week for summer school participants.

June 17: Algebra 1, English 1, and English 2,
June 18: Biology, US History, additional English 1, and absent June 17 testers.
