We’re getting ready for the Austin Fall Fest, and we’d love to have YOU join us!

Our Fall Fest will be held October 17 from 11:00–2:00 PM, and we are currently looking for local businesses, makers, organizations, and vendors who would like to set up and be part of the fun!

🔥 Fire Response 🚒

At 13:37, Austin Fire Department was dispatched to assist Ward Fire Department with a grass fire that had spread to and caught a nearby structure on fire.

Austin Fire personnel operated on scene for approximately two hours before being released by command.

Luckily, no injuries were reported.

🔥 Reminder: We are still under a burn ban. Please do not burn at this time. Help us prevent fires and keep our community safe!

At 5:18PM on Thursday, August 13th, Austin Fire was paged for a mutual aid request from CS&Z Fire for a structure fire off Bratton Rd. Captain Anderson and Firefighters Chris Gomez, Dan Davis, Drew Whitworth, Nick St. John, and Samson Laird responded to assist with extinguishing the fire. Interior attack was initiated upon arrival and foam was utilized once the fire was knocked down.

The Austin Fire Department is 100% volunteer and always looking for new members. Want to serve your community? Pick up an application at City Hall. All gear and training is provided, no experience necessary.

🚒 Grass Fire Response 🚒

At 6:40 PM, Austin Fire Department was dispatched to the I-57 on-ramp in Austin for a reported grass fire.

Firefighters responded quickly, contained the fire, and extinguished it without further incident.

Use caution with anything that could ignite dry grass, including discarded ci******es, equipment that creates sparks, and open flames. If you see smoke or fire, call 911 immediately.

This past Thursday was training night for the Austin Fire Department, our members participated in a driver training session, providing two firefighters with hands-on experience operating our fire apparatus. Ongoing training is essential to ensuring our team is prepared to serve the community safely and effectively.
