Founded in 2010, the Austintown Senior Center keeps members 55 and older active physically, mentally, and socially.

We’re thankful to work alongside the Salvation Army of Mahoning County and Second Harvest to help provide food to seniors in our community.

⭐️Over the last 3 months, more than 10,000 pounds of food have been distributed to our seniors through these events.

Every week, more than 18,000 people across the Mahoning Valley depend on food assistance programs to eat, including thousands of senior citizens. Seniors make up more than 26% of individuals receiving food support locally, many surviving on fixed incomes that no longer keep up with the rising cost of groceries, medication, housing, and utilities.

With nearly 1 in 4 Mahoning Valley residents over the age of 65, senior food insecurity continues to be a growing issue throughout our community.
