What an incredible game! ⚽🥎

The annual 4th Grade Students vs. Teachers Kickball Game was one for the history books! After an exciting back-and-forth battle, the 4th graders defeated the teachers 18-17 in the year's highest-scoring game.

The students jumped out early, the teachers responded with a huge comeback, and the 4th graders rallied late to take the lead and lock down the win with outstanding defense.

This marks only the second time in the event's history that the students have beaten the teachers, tying the all-time series at 2-2!

A huge thank you to all of the staff members who helped make this special tradition possible, and congratulations to our amazing 4th graders! 🎉👏

Our third graders knocked it out of the park with their annual Idiom Parade! They dressed as popular figures of speech. From “cool as a cucumber” to “the cat’s got my tongue”- the costumes were clever and we had so much fun!

Our annual Fourth Grade Reading Fair was a great success! We were very impressed by the students’ creative and interactive book report displays. Well done, Sharks!

Yesterday, our kindergarten class celebrated the 35th year of releasing diamondback terrapins at the Wetlands Institute! 🐢

Throughout the year, our students learn about terrapins, watch them grow, and raise money by baking and selling turtle cookies. Each child then has the special opportunity to name their turtle and release it back into the wetlands.

We are grateful to be part of this meaningful Stone Harbor tradition that teaches our students the importance of conservation, community, and caring for our local environment. 💚

Last night we held our Athletics Banquet to celebrate and recognize our student-athletes for another fantastic school year.

Throughout the evening we recognized our athletes for their hard work, dedication, sportsmanship, and commitment to their teammates and our school community. We also celebrated our multi-sport athletes, team award winners, and our graduating 8th graders as they prepare to begin the next chapter of their athletic journeys.

Thank you to our athletes, coaches, families, and supporters for helping make this another memorable year for Avalon athletics. We are proud of everything our Sharks accomplished this season and look forward to what the future holds.

Congratulations to all of our student-athletes, and good luck to our 8th graders as they continue their academic and athletic careers.

It was a beautiful day for the Cape May County Choral Festival - where students from Avalon Stone Harbor Schools shined on stage! Performances from our joint School Choir, Rock Band and Advanced Vocal Ensemble were well received. Afterwards - these talented kids took in some fun activities at the arcade and enjoying Cape May!
