Avalon Rescue Squad saves lives... SO CAN YOU!

Donate blood on June 18th or 24th to support emergency responders saving lives on the frontlines.

Avalon EMS has partnered with JeffSTAT Critical Care Transport, AtlantiCare EMS and the American Red Cross for a blood drive. Avalon works with JeffStat MedEvac Helicopters and AtlantiCare Mobile ICU Paramedics to treat the most severely injured patients in Avalon. Those units now carry life-saving whole blood.

But it doesn't grow on a tree... IT COMES FROM YOU!

What Is Whole Blood?

The NJ Run for the Fallen will pass through Avalon on THURSDAY 9/25/2025.
Every half mile, the runners stop to salute fallen service members in a brief ceremony and salute.
Each stop (except lunch) is less than 3 minutes.

If you are able, please join us and our civic partners in representing Avalon at each of these stops.
If you are unsure of what is expected, the instructions are as simple as...
1. Applaud as they arrive.
2. Remain Silent as they perform their ceremony.
3. Applaud as they depart.

The TOMEX+ mission is targeting Monday, Aug. 25, at 10 p.m. for the launch attempt of three sounding rockets. The window runs through 3 a.m. Tuesday morning. We'll provide live updates and a livestream will begin five minutes before launch on the Wallops YouTube channel.

Those in the mid-Atlantic region may catch a glimpse of the rockets, weather permitting. The Wallops Visitor Center will not be open for launch viewing, but will maintain normal operating hours.yrnor
