Happy Memorial Day from the Avant Police Department!

05/04/2026

🚨✨ May the 4th Be With You ✨🚨
The Avant Police Department would like to remind everyone that while we don’t carry lightsabers (budget cuts… probably), we do patrol the streets to keep the Dark Side in check.
👮‍♂️ Traffic laws are not optional… even in a galaxy far, far away
🚗 Speeders (aka your car) still have limits
🛑 And no, “the Force made me do it” won’t hold up in court
Stay safe, make good choices, and remember—
👉 Don’t turn to the Dark Side… we already have enough paperwork
“Move along… move along.”

Officer Hamill (pictured far right) has successfully completed Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) training. This program provides law enforcement personnel with the necessary skills to safely and effectively manage situations involving individuals experiencing mental health crises.

The training focuses on equipping officers with critical tools for de-escalation, effective communication, and crisis recognition, thereby ensuring that such incidents are handled with the highest degree of care and professionalism. Officer Hamill's successful completion of this course significantly enhances the Avant Police Department's capacity to respond to mental health-related calls and, consequently, to better serve the community.

We extend our congratulations to Officer Hamill.

🚔🐰 Avant Police Department Easter Reminder 🐰🚔
Happy Easter from your local law enforcement!
Just a few important reminders for today:
If you see a suspicious person in a bunny suit hopping through yards… relax, it’s probably not a burglary—it’s just the Easter Bunny on overtime. 🐇
Please do NOT attempt to pull over the Easter Bunny for “eggs-speeding.” We’ve tried… he’s too fast.
If your kids come home with 47 pounds of candy, we recommend a parental inspection tax (we also accept Reese’s as evidence). 🍫
And remember… hiding eggs is fun, but forgetting where you hid them becomes a biological hazard in about 3 days. 🥴
Stay safe, enjoy time with your family, and as always—if it looks like chocolate, check it before the dog gets it first.
Happy Easter from all of us at Avant PD! 🚔💙

🍀🚔 Happy St. Patrick’s Day from the Avant Police Department! 🚔🍀

Earlier today, officers responded to a very serious call about a “suspicious little man in green” running through town leaving a trail of gold coins…

After a thorough investigation (and a short foot chase), the suspect was identified as a leprechaun. He refused to be detained, laughed uncontrollably, and vanished near the town limits. We’re still working the case, but morale is high and pockets are… slightly heavier. 💰

Reminder for today:

Don’t drink and drive — even if a leprechaun dares you 🍻

Wear green… or risk being “cited” by your friends 😉

And if you find a pot of gold, please report it immediately (we promise to… supervise)

Stay safe, have fun, and may your day be full of luck (and zero traffic stops)!
