HOWEVER, we're NOT on the list for non-compliance. We're on the list because our audit wasn't completed before the February deadline!😏

(And the council wasn't trying to raise taxes anyway!😉)

Boil Water Notice Rescinded
August 17, 2026

On August 12, 2026, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the Avery public water system, PWS 1940005 to issue a Boil Water Notice to inform customers, individuals, or employees that due to conditions which occurred recently in the public water system, the water from this public water system was required to be boiled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes.

The public water system has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore the quality of the water distributed by this public water system used for drinking water or human consumption purposes and has provided TCEQ with laboratory test results that indicate that the water no longer requires boiling prior to use as of August 17, 2026.

Please take note that the 15th is on a SATURDAY this month.

After credit card, ACH, and payments in the box are applied Monday morning, LATE CHARGES WILL BE ASSESSED. There will be no waiver of late fees.

Late bills are due on the 25th, and disconnects will begin on the 26th. There are disconnect & reconnect fees, if it gets to that point. Those cannot be waived either.
