We are proud to highlight Olivia Pilgrim!

Olivia will begin at NTCC this Fall with hopes of one day being an ultrasound tech. Her drive to work in the medical field comes from her love for helping others.

Since enrolling in Avinger this year, Olivia has played a big part in basketball as the team manager, has rocked the tennis courts, been an active Student Council member, and recognizes her time as a Honey Bear in her old district. She is known for her bubbly personality, willingness to participate, and love for a good nap!

Olivia notes her favorite Senior memory: “Sitting in Mr. Nugent's class doing the lockdown drill, trying our best not to laugh, then Mr. Nugent does the Power Ranger move when he hears the doorknob start wiggling.” She would like to thank Mrs. Lauren for helping her in so many ways through all the obstacles Senior year brought.

Her advice to future Seniors: “Apply to all the scholarships!”

“Judging someone does not define who they are; it defines who you are.”

We are proud to highlight La’Nyiah Williams!
Inspired by her own experiences recovering from sports injuries, she has been accepted to Texas A&M University- Texarkana, where she plans to pursue a career in physical therapy or coaching. She hopes to one day help others safely regain their strength, just as she did with the support of her physical therapist.
During her time in high school, La’Nyiah was involved in basketball, baseball, track, tennis, archery, National Honor Society, Student Council, and UIL.
An outgoing student and natural leader, La’Nyiah brings confidence, positivity, and energy to everything she does. One important lesson La’Nyiah says she has learned is to be yourself, even when everyone is watching.
When asked who made the most meaningful impact on her high school journey, she credits her friends: “They gave me confidence when I didn’t have it and helped me keep my head up during tough times."
Her advice to future seniors: Relax, enjoy the moment, and take it all in. You only get the high school experience once.

We are proud to highlight Peyton Davidson!

Peyton is enrolled to attend NTCC in the Fall to obtain her cosmetology license. She plans to “work in a salon, be successful, and have a bunch of animals.” Peyton attributes her passion for success to her huge support system.

In high school, Peyton was the Vice President of Student Council, Secretary of National Honor Society, and played golf. Her teachers describe her as a natural leader who lights up the room with her outgoing personality. She is deeply committed to her academic work, always dependable, and quick to lend a helping hand…while still appreciating a well-earned nap now and then.

Peyton credits Mrs. Hinerman and Miss Grant for having the most meaningful impact on her at school, stating that they have always been helpful and supportive of her.

Peyton looks forward to the Senior Trip, and her best advice to future Seniors is, “Stay on top of your work.”

“Simply did it because they said it couldn’t be done, then I went beyond.” -Future
