🇺🇸 COME CELEBRATE OUR VETERANS! 🇺🇸

Join us Monday, August 31 for a special Veterans Celebration Day honoring those who have taken—or will be taking—an Honor Flight in 2026. ✈️ A short program begins at 11:00 AM and is open to the public.

❤️🤍💙 Then help us send them off! Veterans depart the museum around 12:45 PM, traveling through Carlyle, Beckemeyer, Breese, Aviston, and Trenton. Line the streets, wave your flags, bring your family, and cheer them on

As our students return to school tomorrow, let’s be mindful of all pedestrians and motorists. Use caution as you navigate around the school area and don’t block driveways and intersections. Pay attention to the yellow painted curbs and be patient.

As we welcome hundreds, if not thousands, to our beautiful village park this week, we ask that all take caution while traveling around the park. Please travel slowly and be aware of pedestrians. We also ask that we limit the amount of off road vehicles(ORVs) parking and traveling on the grass at the park. ORVs are to be treated just like regular vehicles and must park in approved areas. Thank you and we wish all a great tournament.

A great reminder from our friends at New Baden Police Department.

🚨 LOCK YOUR VEHICLES! 🚨

The New Baden Police Department is reminding all residents to take a few simple steps to help prevent vehicle-related crimes.

Between June 18, 2026, and July 9, 2026, the Police Department investigated the following incidents:
• Stolen Vehicle
• Theft of Gas
• Burglaries to Motor Vehicles

These incidents occurred in the areas of Poos Dr, W Cedar St, and Pine St.

Help protect yourself by following these simple tips:
🔒 Always lock your vehicle, even if it's parked in your driveway.
🔑 Never leave keys or key fobs inside your vehicle.
🎒 Remove or conceal valuables such as purses, wallets, fi****ms, electronics, and other personal belongings.
💡 Park in well-lit areas whenever possible.
👀 Report any suspicious activity to the New Baden Police Department immediately.

Many vehicle-related thefts are crimes of opportunity. Taking a few extra seconds to lock your doors and secure your belongings can go a long way toward preventing you from becoming a victim.

UPDATE - The dumpster is now empty. As a reminder, if your trash will stick above the top edge you must wait for the dumpster to be empty. If you are observed placing trash in it after it’s full (like the picture below) you will receive a fine.

Attention Residents,

The dumpster located at the maintenance shed is closed until it can be emptied. If you are observed placing trash in the dumpster a fine will be assessed. Please remember this dumpster is a convenience for our citizens and not to be used for commercial waste.
