Go Joe 29 is Coming to Avoca! 🚴💙

Join us as we welcome WNEP meteorologist Joe Snedeker to Avoca for the final stop of Go Joe 29, his annual charity bike ride benefiting Saint Joseph’s Center.

For 29 years, Go Joe has brought communities together across Northeastern and Central Pennsylvania to raise awareness and support for the children and adults served by Saint Joseph’s Center.

🚨🚨Community Notice🚨🚨

Due to damage sustained during yesterday’s storm, West Avoca Park will remain closed until further notice.

As many residents are aware, multiple areas throughout the Borough were impacted by the storm, with several roads and alleys obstructed by fallen trees and downed power lines. Borough officials continue to work alongside emergency management personnel and utility crews to clear affected roadways and restore power to impacted residents as quickly and safely as possible.

For the safety of our community, residents are urged to avoid all downed power lines, fallen trees, and any roadways or alleys that remain closed until they have been officially reopened.

In addition, any residents who sustained property damage as a result of the storm or fallen trees are asked to post photos in the comments below. These images will be compiled and submitted for review by emergency management officials as part of the ongoing damage assessment.

We appreciate your patience, cooperation, and understanding as recovery efforts continue.

⚠️🛑ROAD CLOSED🛑⚠️

The 700 & 800 block of South St in Avoca is closed to all traffic due to significant storm damage. Power is out in the area due to numerous power lines and trees down. The road will remain closed until PPL clears the wires and the trees are removed from the road. Please use alternative routes.
