This week Officers are attending the Indiana School Resource Officer Association (INSROA) School Safety Conference. This annual conference offers training and networking opportunities for our officers as well as for officers from all over Indiana.

Earlier this week Chief Leahy and Sgt. Logan were able to attend training to help our department be better aware of physical safety issues on school campus. We appreciate National Association of School Resource Officers (NASRO) for putting on the class, Danville Community School Corporation for hosting along with the Hendricks County Sheriff’s Department. This training was funded by the Indiana Department of Homeland Security through the Office of School Safety.

Yesterday afternoon our department grew by two. We welcome Officers Whitfield and Butler. Both will be attending the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy in May.
