🚨 Missing Child🚨
The Plainfield Police Department and the Plainfield Fire Territory are currently searching for a child who wandered off approximately one hour ago in the area of 10700 Cardinal Cir in northeast Plainfield.
The child is a 6‑year‑old Black male, last seen wearing a black or red t‑shirt, black or red shorts, and no shoes.

Residents in the area are asked to check around your homes, including garages, sheds, and any outdoor areas that may have been open within the last hour.

If you have seen him or have any information, please contact the Hendricks County 911 Center immediately at 317-839-8700.

🐾 Congratulations to Our New K9 Team! 🐾

The Avon Police Department is proud to congratulate Officer Vigo and his two-legged partner Patrolman Mader on successfully completing an intensive six-week Patrol Canine School.

Becoming a canine handler requires an extraordinary level of dedication, commitment, and hard work. Throughout the training, our new team spent many hours mastering patrol operations, obedience, tracking, building searches, article recovery, and handler protection. The demands of canine work extend well beyond the training field, requiring daily training, constant care, and a strong bond between handler and partner. We are incredibly proud of the effort and professionalism demonstrated by Officers Vigo and Mader throughout this challenging program.

This accomplishment would not have been possible without the support of our community. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the local businesses, organizations, and property owners who generously allowed us to utilize their facilities and properties during training to include:

🚨 Road Closure 🚨

US Highway 36 was closed eastbound at County Road 625 E due to a serious crash.

Drivers were asked to avoid the area while Officers and Crash Reconstructionist investigate the incident.

The juvenile has been located and returned home.

🚨 Runaway Juvenile 🚨

Officers with the Avon Police Department had taken a runaway juvenile report for 17 year old.

She was last seen in the area of North Dan Jones Rd and County Road 200 N at 4:30 P.M. today at her residence. She is believed to be wearing a pink sleeveless top, blue jean shorts, and sandals. She is described as being 5’8” and weighs approximately 130 pounds.

She may be in a white Nissan Rogue, going to the Indianapolis area.
