Four years ago, the CORE Celebration began as a way to recognize the essential employees who keep our campuses running every day. From custodial, facilities and maintenance, transportation, to warehouse and food service, our CORE team members are the backbone of our district.

This year, Governing Board Member Sarah Silk, Chief Innovation Officer Rachel Gross, and Superintendent of Operations Tom Huffman shared heartfelt words of appreciation for the dedication and care our CORE employees bring to our schools every day.

🎬 The West Valley Film Festival continues to shine a spotlight on the talented student filmmakers across the West Valley.

Hosted annually at Harkins in Avondale, the festival gives students from the Agua Fria High School District and neighboring districts the opportunity to showcase their films on the big screen and compete for awards across a variety of categories.

This year marked the 5th Annual West Valley Film Festival, with more than 300 students in attendance. Films were judged by industry professionals, and first-place winners received prizes donated by our incredible business partners.

A special thank you to Huntington University Arizona for sponsoring the theater rental and helping make this unforgettable experience possible. Congratulations to all of the students who shared their voices, stories, and creativity through film this year! 🎥✨
