Calling all exhibitors! Creepin’ Candy Crawl wants YOU! 🫵🎃

Businesses, nonprofits, government organizations, and handcrafters are invited to join us for Creepin’ Candy Crawl!

Promote your organization, connect with the community, and pass out candy or toys to thousands of trick-or-treaters on Thursday, October 29! 🍭

All exhibitors must provide a FREE candy or toy item for the trick-or-treating activity. We’re anticipating around 5,000 attendees, so come ready to hand out some goodies and join in on the fun!

Nominate an Avondale Hometown Hero!

Do you have a family member or loved one who is serving or has served in the U.S. Armed Forces? Honor their service through the City of Avondale’s Hometown Hero Banner Program!

Each year, Avondale Hometown Heroes are recognized with personalized streetlight banners featuring their military photo. The banners are displayed along Dysart Road between McDowell Road and Van Buren Street and are updated annually in time for Veterans Day.

To nominate a Hometown Hero, complete the online application and provide an official military photo. Nominees must be currently serving in the U.S. Armed Forces, be an honorably discharged veteran, or have given their life in service. They must also be or have been a permanent resident of Avondale, or have a close family member currently living in Avondale.

Submissions close September 1, so be sure to submit your nomination before the deadline!
