A grant like this will help us continue providing food, clothing, and essential resources to individuals and families in our community...but we need your help to make it happen.

Still thinking about the incredible Backpacks & More event held this past Saturday. Together we served over 900 children heading into Pre-K through 8th grade. They went home with two brand new school uniforms, socks and sneakers, and a backpack with school supplies. 👕👟🖊️📕

This would not have been possible without our incredible partners , AZ Community Impact, The Salvation Army-Estrella Mountain Corp, and the Arizona Complete Health Avondale Family Resource Center. 🩷

The 400 families that came through the distribution went home with a box full of fresh produce, various drinks, and dry goods to bless their families. A big thank you to for providing these items. 🍎

We also offered a Resource Fair at the distribution with 20+ incredible vendors offering a variety of essential services such as free immunizations, vision/hearing screenings, and so much more! ⭐️

Over 150 volunteers helped make all this possible by stuffing backpacks, sorting uniforms, bagging produce, and the MANY critical roles that were filled on the day of the distribution! What an incredible west valley community that shows up to serve their neighbors even on one of the hottest days of the year!! 😎

If you sponsored a child, donated items, volunteered, were a vendor at the resource fair, or contributed in any way to Backpacks & More 2026...THANK YOU!! You made a difference in these students lives!

☀️With the summer heat already here, many AFFCB volunteers leave the state this month for cooler weather. That leaves us with quite a few volunteer positions to fill. Specifically we are in need of volunteer drivers to help us pick up the much needed food donations from local grocery stores, restaurants, and businesses.

🚛If you are interested in serving the community through being a volunteer driver this summer, please reach out by email or phone. If you know someone else who might be interested in helping, please share this post with them and help us get the word out.
