Hey all! Haven’t posted here in a long while, but with the election coming up in November I wanted to update everyone on my intentions. I have decided not to run again this time around. I have been pleased with the job that my opponent Cindy Goff last time has done so far. I reached out to her and she does intend to run at least one more time. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Mrs. Goff feels she has more to accomplish as commissioner and I am content for now in my role on the Planning Board and the Ayden Historical and Arts Association. I’ll reassess the lay of the land when the next election cycle comes around and if the time seems right I will once again seek your vote for Ayden Commissioner. Thank you all who supported me last time and I hope that when I do decide to run again I will continue to earn that support.

A man must admit when he’s been shellacked. Congratulations to Mrs. Cindy Goff for her resounding victory in today’s election. She ran a good race and I am humbled. Thanks a billion to the 148 citizens of Ayden who had faith enough in me to cast their vote my way. I definitely learned a lot in my first attempt at elected office. I am still committed 100% to helping Ayden grow and prosper in whatever capacity I can. I may be down, but I am not out. Thanks again for all the support!

Early voting is over, but you can still make your voice heard on Tuesday, Nov. 5th. Come out to the Ayden Community Building on 2nd Street to cast your ballot and help me make a change in Ayden in 2020!

Bravo! This is exactly what we should be doing in Ayden. Only by investing in our community can we hope to get things rolling again. This building has been vacant for too long and has such amazing potential to be a magnet for the future development of downtown Ayden while preserving our past at the same time. I have some ideas how we can make this happen, but this is s great first step! Vote for me in November and I will fight to see the revitalization of downtown Ayden through to the end.
