🇺🇸 The NASCAR Memorial Weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway is the crown jewel to Race Fans, the longest race of the year, and a very special time to honor our Nation's Military sacrifices.

“We’ve been working on and evolving this for a long time and the collaboration with NASCAR, Charlotte Motor Speedway and the race teams has been tremendous. It allows us to bring families that have been grieving to a place where they can not only lose themselves in the pomp and circumstance of an amazing race weekend, but they can also realize and recognize that their loved one has been embraced by a community that really gets it.” - George Lutz, founder of Honor and Remember

We are grateful that NASCAR recognizes the importance of calling attention to and celebrating the many lives lost and shows appreciation for all fallen hero families with a positive message of thanks. A unique alliance continues to bring a national spotlight to all of our Nation's Military Fallen and their Families.

⭐ Every Lap Carries a Name: As part of the 11th year of the program, military recognition will once again be front and center as each NASCAR Cup Series car and accompanying track vehicle will feature the name of a fallen service member on the windshield in the Coca-Cola 600 Miles of Remembrance, creating a powerful tribute.

⭐ Over 100 Honor and Remember flags are displayed at various locations around Charlotte Motor Speedway and in each race pit box.

⭐ The Broadcaster's Lapel Pin and Official's Uniforms will display our logo.

⭐ 2025 is the 7th year the imprinted HONOR and REMEMBER logo will be on all racing tires. ALL three of NASCAR's national series races this weekend – over 6,000 tires.

⭐ Moment of Silence - NASCAR will initiate a mid-race pause where all engines will go silent for the unfurling of a 6500 sq. ft. HONOR and REMEMBER Flag: one of the most powerful moments in sports history.

"After Tony’s death, I went down a spiritual path, if you will, and in my conversations with God, I came to realize that I knew that I would see him again. But what I didn’t know was what direction I should take next.

I started to lean in the direction of … how were other families [of fallen service members] feeling? How did they gain comfort? What came to them that they could embrace and give them any kind of hope?

What I realized during that time and through these experiences was that the one thing that these families wanted more than anything was for their loved ones to be remembered. That was the one thing that these families really clung to. So, the burning question in my mind was … how can every family make sure that their loved one is not forgotten?" - George Lutz ⭐🇺🇸

HONOR and REMEMBER - North Carolina Chapter

To perpetually recognize the sacrifice of America’s military fallen service members and their families. The organization pays tribute to all military lives lost, not only while serving on active duty but also as a result of serving. Military deaths in all wars or conflicts and all branches of service from our nation’s inception are recognized.

The primary vehicle for perpetual recognition is a specific and dedicated symbol of remembrance created by this organization: the Honor and Remember Flag, which is intended to fly continuously as a tangible and visible reminder to all Americans of the lives lost in defense of our national freedoms.
