What a way to kick off the season! Our season opener brought the two junior highs together to battle it out while both proudly repping the green and white! πŸ’šπŸ€

Our Forte Hornets took on Azle Junior High, and both sides brought the fight! The 8th grade teams battled hard but ultimately came up short, while our 7th Grade A and 7th Grade B teams both came away with BIG wins! 🐝πŸ”₯

Congrats to both junior highs on a great opening night of football, sportsmanship, and Hornet pride. Here’s to a GREAT season ahead!

Welcoming Nurse Shawna Clouatre to Forte Junior High!

We are thrilled to welcome our new campus nurse, Shawna Clouatre, to the Forte Junior High family! Nurse Shawna brings 20 years of nursing experience to our school, including 12 dedicated years right here in Azle ISD at Liberty Elementary. Many of our students and families will already know her warm, familiar face from their elementary years. Nurse Shawna is excited to reconnect with her former students and ensure the continued health and safety of our entire campus.

Mrs. Martin's students have been learning all about weather, severe weather, and weather safety! 🌦️ They took advantage of the beautiful weather to get outside, show off their very own hurricanes, and learn about the powerful effects of a storm surge through a hands-on demonstration by Mrs. Martin! 🌊πŸŒͺ️

Learning about weather is even more fun when we can see it, experience it, and have fun with it! Our students are building important safety skills while making some great memories along the way! πŸ’š

πŸ’š STAFF SPOTLIGHT: Welcome Hannah Boney! πŸ’š

Help us officially welcome a familiar face to a new role at Forte Junior High!

Many of our students and families already know Ms. Boney as a fantastic substitute teacher and the proud parent of 8th grader, Emily. We are thrilled to share that she is joining the Forte team full-time as our new Paraeducator!

When she isn't on campus supporting our students and staff, Ms. Boney loves being a mom, relaxing on her patio with a good book and a cup of coffee, watching hummingbirds, and spending time with her dog (whom she proudly claims is the best in the whole world! πŸΎβ˜•).

Today we kicked off our very first Show Up Shindig! 🎊 Each week, the grade level with the highest attendance percentage gets to celebrate with some well-earned free time in the gyms (and outside… IF IT EVER DECIDES TO COOL OFF! πŸ˜‚β˜€οΈ).

And here’s the challenge: If ALL grade levels finish the week above 95% attendance, EVERYONE WINS! πŸ™ŒπŸ‘

Tonight was all about Hornet Pride as Forte Junior High took on Azle Junior High in the annual Pride of Azle volleyball showdown! πŸπŸ’š

While our Forte teams didn’t come away with the wins tonight, we loved seeing our Hornets compete, cheer each other on, and come together as ONE Azle! There’s nothing better than seeing the friendly rivalry on the court and the shared pride in our Hornet community off of it. πŸ’šπŸ–€
