In honor of GT Awareness Week, we are celebrating the incredible minds in our Gifted & Talented program 💫
Our students think deeply, ask meaningful questions, and bring powerful ideas to life.
It is a joy to watch them learn, grow, and lead.

🧠✨ Mind & Body in Motion! ✨💪

Today our 1st & 2nd Grade Gifted & Talented students took their learning beyond the classroom walls and into the incredible Sci-Tech Discovery Center in Frisco and it was the perfect extension of our Mind & Body unit!

From problem-solving challenges that stretched their brains 🧠 to hands-on exhibits that got their bodies moving and reacting 💥, students explored how thinking, movement, reaction time, and sensory input all work together.

They didn’t just learn about the connection between the mind and body… they experienced it.

Watching them question, experiment, collaborate, and light up with curiosity was the best reminder that when we engage both the brain and the body, learning truly comes alive. 💚

So proud of our bright thinkers and active learners!

Our 1st-4th graders have been hard at work bringing “The Mind” to life! Students are exploring the fascinating link between cognitive psychology and game design!

To prepare, our young engineers went on a “Simple Machine Scavenger Hunt” to find pulleys, levers, screws, wedges, wheels, axels, and inclined planes “in the wild” around campus! Now they are organizing their supplies to build interactive arcade games entirely out of cardboard.

The challenge: Use simple machines and psychological hooks like rewards and near misses to keep their players mentally engaged.

Stay tuned as our Cardboard Carnival takes shape!

Yesterday, our G/T 5th and 6th graders wrapped up their Body Unit of Study with a hands on Body Mechanics Lab at Topgolf ⛳️🧠

Students discovered that they are the machine, exploring how bones, muscles, balance, coordination, and the brain work together to create movement and power in a golf swing. Learning came to life through observation, movement, and a whole lot of fun.

Proud of these thinkers and movers 💚

Exciting Hands-On Learning at Eagle Heights Elementary!

Today, our gifted and talented students explored the fascinating world of earthworms and crayfish through hands-on dissections!

With curiosity and teamwork, they examined the unique structures of these creatures, comparing invertebrates and crustaceans up close. Science truly came to life as they made connections between form and function in nature!

Great job young scientists!
