What a WILD day at Magnolia!🏃‍➡️🫧

Our first-ever Magnolia Bubble Run was so much fun!🤩 Our students walked, jogged, ran, laughed, and got completely covered in bubbles!

It was wonderful seeing our Magnolia Mustangs getting active, having fun, and coming together to support our school.🐴

A big thank you to our students, families, staff, and everyone who supported our Bubble Run and helped make this event such a fun experience for our students!

Our WILD Bulletin Board Competition brought out so much creativity, and our student representatives got to visit each board, take a closer look, and cast their votes. 👀🗳️

There were so many creative ideas, colorful designs, and WILD spirit throughout our campus!

🏆 Congratulations to the winning team of our Stay WILD! Bulletin Board Competition with their creative board, “Rounding Up All WILD Mustangs!” 🐎🌵

Last week was Custodian Day, and we are giving a WILD Shout Out to our very own campus superheroes! 🦸‍♂️🐎

Thank you, Nathan, Noel, and Noah, for all the hard work you do to keep our campus clean, safe, and ready for our students and staff each and every day. So much of what you do happens behind the scenes, and we truly appreciate all you do for Magnolia! 💙✨

Last week, we said “see you later” to our beloved Mrs. Fonseca. 💙

Her connection to Magnolia is truly special. She was once a student here, then a teacher, and ultimately our principal. Through every role, she has poured her heart into our school and made a lasting impact on our students, staff, and families.

Her leadership, compassion, and genuine love for Magnolia will be deeply missed. We are so grateful for everything she has given to our WILD Mustangs and wish her all the best as she begins this next chapter.

Thank you for everything, Mrs. Fonseca. This isn’t goodbye, it’s see you later. Once a Mustang, always a Mustang! 💙🐎

Please join us in welcoming our new principal, Ms. Monica Salas, to Magnolia Elementary School!🐴🎉

Ms. Salas brings more than two decades of experience in education, including roles as a classroom teacher, special education coordinator, and principal. She is passionate about supporting student success, creating an inclusive school community, and building strong partnerships with families.💙

Bilingual in English and Spanish, Ms. Salas is excited to get to know our Magnolia families, staff, and students as she begins this new chapter with us.

☕️Join us for Coffee with the Principal on Wednesday, October 7 at 8:30am, where you’ll have an opportunity to meet Ms. Salas, get to know her, ask questions, and connect with other Magnolia families.

Huge congratulations to Magnolia teacher, Stacy Munoz, for being honored at the Los Angeles County Teachers of the Year ceremony! 🍎 Ms. Munoz brings patience, warmth, and dedication to her classroom every single day. We are so proud to have her guiding our youngest learners in Azusa Unified.

Thank you to the families who joined us for Coffee with the Principal and our conversation with the District Nurse! 🩺

Families learned more about student attendance and health, including when a child should stay home when they’re sick, when it’s okay to return to school, and how regular school attendance can impact a student’s learning and success.

We’re grateful to our District Nurse for sharing helpful information and answering questions to help families feel more confident about making attendance decisions. 💙🐴
