Our mission is to promote social welfare, education, and the arts.

The Canyon City Foundation gives first priority to projects that increase community self-sufficiency and capacity. For example, community capacity may be developed by encouraging new leadership, enhancing volunteerism, expanding fundraising, strengthening partnerships, creating new sustainable programs and other ways of helping people help themselves.

Last week, we were proud to recognize 7 Canyon City Foundation grant recipients at the Azusa City Council meeting! Together, these organizations received $212,500 in grant funding to support programs serving the Azusa community.

Seeing our grant recipients lined along the Council Chambers wall was a great reminder of how many people and organizations are working to make a difference right here in Azusa. We’re grateful to support their work and the programs they bring to our community.

See grant funding in action! 🧑‍🍳Canyon City Foundation grant recipient Santa Anita Family YMCA helps make programs like Junior Chefs possible for the Azusa community, in partnership with the City of Azusa Community Resources Department.

Programs like this give local youth a chance to learn new skills, get creative, and connect with their community, at no cost to participating families.
