Proud to celebrate D.A.R.E. graduation with Bagley Elementary’s outstanding sixth graders!!!
As your D.A.R.E. officer, I get to spend time with these great kids every week teaching them about making smart, safe choices, and building positive relationships with law-enforcement.
Today we wrapped up the program with their graduation ceremony, a fun kickball tournament, and a pizza party to celebrate their hard work!
This group is truly-energetic, respectful, and full of potential. It’s one of the best parts of my job! Working directly with our children and families in Clearwater County reminds me every day why community focused policing is so important.
If you want a sheriff, who truly understands our kids and our schools, I would be grateful for your support.

This week I had the opportunity to speak with the Clearwater County GOP about my campaign for Clearwater County Sheriff. I shared my vision for a strong, professional, and community focused Sheriffs Office - one that puts public safety first, builds trust with our residents, and ensures our rural communities have the responsive law enforcement they deserve. Today is the day!!! I have officially filed my paperwork to run for Clearwater County Sheriff!! As an active member of this community for almost 20 years it was a privilege to take this step right here at home. I am running because I believe Clearwater County deserves strong, experienced and dedicated leadership someone who truly knows our people, our values, our challenges, and our opportunities.
I’m ready to serve with the integrity, fairness and unwavering commitment to keeping our families and communities safe.

I was invited to speak at the Indian Education Senior Banquet this week, and it was truly a privilege to address these outstanding young adults as they prepare to graduate and chase their dreams.
To every senior who will walk across that stage — congratulations! You’ve worked hard to get there, and I have no doubt the future is bright for each of you. Keep pushing toward your goals, stay rooted in the values that got you this far, and never stop believing in what you can achieve.

🚜 Yesterday was another great day at the Progressive Agriculture Safety Days program!
This is my fifth year helping with this outstanding hands-on safety event — the largest rural safety education program in North America. For the Clearwater County Sheriff’s Office, I teach ATV safety to the students, and it’s always one of the highlights for the kids (and me!).
Other important classes included:
• Tractor & grain bin safety by Clearwater County Nursing Services
• First aid & wound care by the Sanford Ambulance crew
• Fire safety by Clearbrook Fire Department
• Electrical safety by Clearwater Polk Electric
The event was held in Bagley but brought in students from several neighboring schools: FHL, Clearbrook, Fosston, and Win-E-Mac.
Living in a strong farming community, programs like this aren’t just “nice to have” — they’re vital. Teaching our kids how to stay safe on the farm and around equipment can truly save lives.
I’m proud to continue supporting this program year after year. Keeping our kids and families safe will always be a top priority!

🚨 ATV Safety Matters in Clearwater County!
Today I had the privilege of helping with our annual ATV Safety Class — my fourth year volunteering with this important program. Watching young riders learn safe practices and seeing families come together for this always reminds me why community safety is so important.
My own kids went through this same class, and I will be proud to support it every year as your Sheriff.
A big thank you to Andy Anderson and everyone who helps make this program possible. Proper training saves lives — it’s that simple.
If you have kids or grandkids who ride ATVs, I strongly encourage you to get them signed up. Safe riders are the best riders.
This class is open to operators ages 10 and older. Students can complete the online portion at www.dnr.state.mn.us and just attend the field day.

Grateful for the opportunity to train alongside the Itasca Volunteer Fire Department!
Last night I had the privilege of working with these dedicated volunteers on radio communication and inter-agency coordination — two areas that are absolutely critical when every second counts in an emergency.
Strong partnerships between law enforcement, fire departments, and first responders save lives and keep our communities safe. I’m proud to support and train with the brave men and women who serve right alongside us in Clearwater County.
A huge thank you to the entire Itasca Volunteer Fire Department for the warm welcome and for everything you do for our region. Collaboration like this is exactly what I want to continue building as your next Sheriff.

Tonight our department had the opportunity to train with Clearwater County Sheriff’s Deputy Clarence LaCroix, focusing on radio communication and coordination.
Strong communication is critical in emergency response, and we’re grateful for the time, knowledge, and support that help keep our teams working together effectively when it matters most.

What a fantastic night at Bagley High School Prom & After Prom! 🎉
I had the privilege of being part of this special evening with our amazing students. From the dance floor to the After Prom celebration, it was awesome seeing everyone having a safe, fun time.
A huge thank you to Kelly Cease Bowman and Marie Gunderson for all their incredible hard work making After Prom such a success! These two ladies thought of everything — bouncy houses, video games, pool table, hypnotist, and so much more. The students had a blast, thanks to tons of donated food from our generous community and great prizes from local businesses.
This is what community looks like — coming together to support and celebrate our kids.
Events like these are just one more reason why I’m running for Clearwater County Sheriff. As a School Resource Officer, I’ve seen firsthand how important it is to keep our youth safe while giving them opportunities to create lasting memories.
