We are happy to announce that a project we began a couple months ago to preserve the history of the Clearwater County Sheriff's Office is now complete.

With the assistance of the Clearwater County Historical Society- The History Center, as well as the families of our former sheriffs, we have created and displayed framed photographs honoring all thirteen Sheriffs who have served Clearwater County throughout its history.

We invite you to stop by the Sheriff's Office to see the completed display and take a moment to reflect on the men who have served our county over the years.

A sincere thank you to everyone who contributed their time, information, and support to make this project possible. We are proud to preserve and honor the history of the Clearwater County Sheriff's Office for future generations.

Someone turned in a handheld Long Range Walkie Talkie / Ham Radio to the Clearwater County Sheriff's Office. This item was found in the area of State Hwy 92 and Mosquito Creek Road, South of Bagley. If you believe this might be yours, call the Sheriff's Office and speak with Chief Deputy Vern Wittenberg to identify your item and make arrangements to get it back.

We would like to congratulate Clearwater County Investigator Meagan Pereira on her completion of courses through the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (MN BCA) and earning the Investigator's Certificate. This achievement is shared with fellow Investigator, Alexander Yocum, who completed the required coursework at the end of last year. Thank you Investigator Pereira for your willingness to not only improve yourself, but the Clearwater County Sheriff's Office as well.

Today, the sixth grade class at Bagley Elementary celebrated D.A.R.E. graduation on the last day of school. Deputy Clarence LaCroix, Chief Deputy Vern Wittenberg and Deputy Wyatt Swenson enjoyed a morning of playing kick ball at the Frog Pond with the students and then in the afternoon, were treated to a pizza party. Congratulations to the students for graduating from the D.A.R.E. program and thank you to Deputy LaCroix for teaching them.
