Things are shaping up at Cook’s Lobster & Ale House for this weekends Harpswell Heating Assistance Dinner & Silent Auction.
Here are a few answers to our most frequently asked questions.
Q.) When is the dinner and auction?
A.) Saturday, December 7th from 4pm-8pm.
Q.) Do I need a reservation?
A.) No. You may see some people do have reservations, however they have helped co sponsor the evening.
Q.) Can I still make a donation for the auction.
A.) Yes, we will accept donations up to 3:00 on Saturday. If you have a donation and know you will not be able to get it to the restaurant by that time, please contact Kevin, at [email protected] to make any arrangements.
Q.) What can I do if I cannot make it to the event, as I will be out of town?
A.)If you can’t make it and want to make a monetary donation, you have up to January 1st to send in your check or call with a credit card to make your monetary donation. We present the town with our check within the first few weeks of January so there will still be time to help throughout the holiday season.
Q.) Is it the regular menu during the event?
A.) No. We will have a buffet set up with a seafood option, poultry option, meat option and vegetarian option. There will also be side dishes. In addition to that, we will have a few a la cart specials and dessert options. There will be specialty cocktails as well. THE BUFFET MENU WILL BE KNOWN FRIDAY, as we are still working on those food donations.
Q.)When should I arrive and will there be room for me to sit and dine?
A.)Arrive when you like. We know some people dine early so, if that’s not you, arrive around 6. We are asking people to be aware there may be diners who need a place to sit, so please keep your time at a table to a minimum. We would like everyone to eat and enjoy time together.
We know that many people will be moving from table to table visiting.
I hope this helps answer most of the questions you have. If you happen to have any other questions please fill free to ask.
We are so excited to kick off this holiday season with you all.
