On December 5, 2025 the Bailey Police Department received a new 2025 Ford Explorer Interceptor. The Bailey Police Department would like to thank Capital Ford Government Sales. We would also like to thank Batteries of NC in Angier, NC for installing all the equipment on the vehicle. Chief Gelo had the opportunity to drive the vehicle and lead the Bailey Christmas Parade on December 6, 2025. When the Christmas Parade was concluded. Chief Gelo assigned this vehicle to Lieutenant Cone. Lieutenant Cone will used this vehicle for is lieutenants duty’s. If you would like a up close look at this vehicle. Look for Lieutenant Cone while he is on duty. He will be glad to show the vehicle and answer any questions about the vehicle.

Lieutenant Cone had the privilege to deliver the toys that the Bailey Police Department received on November 22, 2025 toy drive. Lieutenant Cone delivered the toys to the Bailey Elementary School. The Bailey Police Department would like to thank Lieutenant Cone and his wife. They both went through all the toys and separated them for each gender. They then load and transported them to the school. We would also like to thank Deputy Joyner and the school staff with their assistance at the school. The school staff will pass out the toys to the families who need assistance with their child’s Christmas.

The Bailey Police Department would like to wish the citizens of Bailey and of Nash County a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving from our family to your family. On this day let’s also give thanks to the family members who prepared a great and tasty meal for your family and friends to celebrate and enjoy together. We hope while you and your family are traveling from home this holiday it will be fill with wonderful scenery and safe travels. Happy turkey day to everyone.

The Bailey Police Department would like to give a Big Thank You. To the Dollar General management and employees for hosting this special event. We would specially like to give a Big Thank You. To the community citizens of Bailey. Thank you for coming out and supporting this event. The amount of toys donated was amazing. The toys will be delivered to the Bailey Elementary School in the next few weeks. Again the Bailey Police Department would like to say Thank You. To everyone involved with the event today.

Cone’s and two special guest. Will be at the business to assist you with placing the toys in the police car. On Tuesday 10/21/2025, Lieutenant Andy Cone had the pleasure to represent the Bailey Police Department. At the N.C. State Fair in Raleigh N.C. He was assigned to the Governor’s Highway Safety Program area. This area is called Safety City. Lieutenant Cone spoke with the fair patrons about traffic safety issues. While in Safety City they had a special guest to visit. Ramses the UNC Tarheels mascot came by and spent some time in Safety City. We would like to thank Lieutenant Cone. For representing the Bailey Police Department at the 2025 N.C. State Fair.

The Bailey Police Department will be have a Coffee With A Cop event. This will take place on April28, 2025 from 8am to 10am. The Roasted Mullet coffee shop is where the event will be held at. They are located at 6204 Main Street in Bailey NC. Come out and get to know your Bailey officers.
