Dear Members,

Thank you for being a member of the Platte Canyon Area Chamber of Commerce. As you may know, 2026 has ushered in several changes to your Board of Directors. Our newer members are bringing great energy and new ideas to better serve our member businesses.

These include:

New, expanded chamber website which incorporates an exclusive landing page for all businesses to feature their products and services, much like your own website pages. This page includes the ability to conduct online commerce, similar to Etsy and Shopify, for NO FEES! This is especially helpful for our Home-Based Businesses and Service groups.

Free, monthly Mixers, sponsored by a brick-and-mortar business paired with a home-based business. This is a great opportunity to mingle with fellow business owners, learn new things, and enjoy a social evening with new friends.

Platte Canyon University will provide our businesses with helpful classes such as Bookkeeping, Insurance information, etc., as well as fun things such as cooking, all about Bees, and important topics such as Fire Preparation.

Bailey Day has been resurrected and rebranded as ABCD – ALL BAILEY COMMUNITY DAY. It will feature local vendors, bands, and entertainment with a small-town, old-time feel. There will even be a Friday night block party during setup. Come lend a hand and have fun!

Summer Mini Events will include several outdoor Movie Nights. Grab your popcorn

The Chamber is also focusing on advocating for the Platte Canyon Area citizens before the Board of Commissioners, CDOT, and the Tourism board. There will be regularly scheduled Town Hall meetings in Bailey to give our citizens the opportunity to meet with County officials face-to-face.

These initiatives require funding, and after more than a decade, the board has decided to raise the annual General membership dues to $195.

Nonprofits will be $100. Individual Membership (NEW) will be $50.

It was also decided to schedule all renewals for June of each year. In the next couple of weeks, you will receive an invoice for your dues through June of 2027. All invoices will be pro-rated to your anniversary date and reflect any payments already made through June 2026.

Thank you for your continued support!

Sincerely,

Debbie Wilkes, Treasurer
James Matacynski, Membership Director
