⚠️ **Weather & Wind Safety Reminder** ⚠️

With the impending wind and weather moving into our area, we’d like to remind everyone to **stay clear of any downed power lines**. Always assume lines are energized and dangerous.

If you experience a **power outage**, please report it directly to **Eastern Maine Electric**, not 911. This helps keep emergency lines open for true emergencies.

📞 **Call 911 only if there is a life safety concern or an active fire hazard.**

As always, the Baileyville Fire Department will be ready to respond to whatever is needed to help keep our community safe. Please stay alert, stay safe, and look out for one another.

Fire Prevention week is here, and some lucky kids have won a ride to school in the fire truck, so if you happen to hear some sirens around the time school is getting in session, its just Jamie taking them to school.

Good afternoon!

Cold front continues to move through the state this evening into the overnight period. Along with the front, there may be some light rain showers in the Crown of Maine tonight, but not looking at any significant rainfall totals. Partially-to-mostly cloudy skies, with low temperatures in the 40s in the north and mid-50s Downeast. Winds begin to pick up later tonight.

Tomorrow, high pressure builds in the area from the west bringing some cool and dry air into northern and central Maine. Skies become partially-cloudy, with highs reaching into the low-60s in the north, and upper-60s to low-70s Downeast. High wind gusts 25-30mph during the day on Friday. Red flag watch is in effect as a result of these gusty winds and forecast low relative humidities. Make sure to exercise caution around dry vegetation and susceptible fire fuels.
