The BHS Water Polo Team made quite a splash at Helpline House!

A huge thank you to this awesome crew for diving into a big warehouse project and helping us move a mountain of boxes. Once that was done, they kept right on going—pitching in with sorting, quality control, and other food bank duties.

We loved seeing their teamwork in action both - in and out of the pool! Thank you, BHS Water Polo, for bringing your energy, muscle, and can-do attitude to Helpline House. You made a big difference!

🧅Our Thursday volunteer crew could barely hold back the tears (of joy, obviously) upon delivery of these onions from Gifts of Dirt Farm on Bainbridge Island! 🧅

Every layer of this community shows up: from student volunteers to our long-time regular 'Thursday Power Women' crew (the four on the right) -- Hilary, Julie, Diana and Anne -- ready to get fresh, local produce out the door and into neighbors' hands.

Huge thanks to Gifts of Dirt Farm for another gorgeous harvest donation!

Let's get to know Helpline House Volunteer and Board Member Julie Rosenblatt!

Recently, we asked Julie what inspired her to start volunteering at Helpline House on the Thursday afternoon Operations shift... "Our family has been volunteering at Helpline House for over 40 years and it's just part of our family culture. When I met my husband, David, he was volunteering with Grocery Rescue, and now our child, Mira, is carrying on that tradition as a Grocery Rescue substitute. Even my mom, who lived with us for two years, spent time volunteering at Helpline House. I believe everyone deserves equal access to food, and volunteering gives me a meaningful way to help make that a reality in our community. This year, I also joined the Helpline House Board so I can deepen my involvement and make an even greater impact." Thank you, Julie, for the many ways you and your family make a difference at Helpline House and in our community!
