The 80-bed Community hospital and 107-bed long-term care facility, along with Willow Ridge, a 22-bed personal care facility, is owned and operated by the Hospital Authority of the City of Bainbridge and Decatur County. A huge thank you to Bank OZK⁠ for being an outstanding community partner and for directing $100,000 in Georgia state tax dollars to Memorial Hospital and Manor through the Georgia HEART Hospital Program⁠!

Following the check presentation, we had the opportunity to tour our nursing home and showcase some of the exciting upgrades currently underway—improvements made possible in part through the generous support received through this program. Seeing these projects firsthand is a great reminder of the impact local tax dollars can have when they are invested right back into the communities they serve.

We are incredibly grateful for Bank OZK’s commitment to helping us enhance the care environment for our residents, patients, families, and team members.

Please help us congratulate Marsha Carter for being named the 1st Quarter 2026 BEE Award recipient at Memorial Hospital and Manor! 🐝

Marsha was nominated by a patient family member who shared how much her kindness and compassion meant during a stressful and uncertain time. From the moment they arrived in the ER, Marsha provided a welcoming smile and calming reassurance that immediately helped ease anxiety.

One small but meaningful act that stood out was when Marsha gladly shared a charger so the family member could keep communication open with loved ones at home while staying by her husband’s side. Throughout the weekend, Marsha continued to greet them with a smile and wave each time she buzzed them into the hospital — simple gestures that became a bright light during a difficult experience.

The BEE Award recognizes team members who go above and beyond in living out our mission of delivering courteous, respectful, safe, and quality care to every patient, every time. Marsha’s compassion, thoughtfulness, and genuine care for others are a wonderful example of that mission in action.

Memorial Hospital and Manor is proud to partner with Sciometrix to bring Chronic Care Management (CCM) and Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) services to eligible patients at Amelia Medical Plaza.

Patients with chronic conditions can now receive added support between visits through 24/7 RN-led care coordination, medication assistance, health education, and remote monitoring of important health metrics like blood pressure, glucose, weight, and oxygen levels—all from the comfort of home.

This innovative approach helps patients stay connected, supported, and healthier every day. Many services may be covered by Medicare, Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, and most private insurance plans.

JT is a CNA on our Med-Surg unit and has made a lasting impression since his very first shift. He consistently goes above and beyond to provide exceptional care and customer service to every patient he encounters. Patients and coworkers alike appreciate his willingness to help with any task, no matter how big or small.

Several patients specifically shared how much they appreciated the care and dignity JT provided while assisting them with showers, shaving, and daily care needs — with one even saying he “felt like a young man again.” Moments like these are a true reflection of the compassion and pride JT brings to his work each day.

In addition to the outstanding care he provides patients, JT is also known for encouraging his coworkers and bringing laughter and positivity to the unit. His energy and heart for serving others make him such a valuable part of the MHM family.

While we have many more to recognize in the days ahead, we wanted to begin by honoring someone truly extraordinary — Karen Faircloth for over 50 years of service to Memorial Hospital and Manor.

Fifty years of dedication, compassion, knowledge, and commitment to serving our community is an incredible accomplishment and a true testament to the heart behind healthcare. We are excited to share renovation progress and updates happening throughout our nursing home, and we are already loving the beautiful new floors and fresh improvements taking shape. We know these updates are going to create an even warmer, more comfortable, and welcoming environment for our residents, families, and team members.
