Sorry for the belated invite. (In 3 hours) LOL. Between canvassing and being in public events, I really need to create a public journal for you. I am on it. So much to do and so little time.
My friends are making a callout to those that consider themselves, comparative to others, fiscally or socially progressive and/or nonviolent activists for protecting human rights and needs and protecting the precious resources we love.
My main campaign is about 3 things: -mitigating a high rate increase of residential property taxes
-halting overdevelopment of rural Riverhead (to benefit the profiteers while being a burden to those who moved here or were born in this quiet rural town, and are now living pay check to paycheck or being marginalized.)
-freshwater and healthy soil and open space conservation and preservation.
And, I know many Long Islanders are not having the needs met or are on the verge of losing them. And since I would like to hear the facts, needs, strategies to thrive from you, I am posting this invite from Kim Wilder.
"To some progressive and activist friends who may be interested in supporting Kevin Shea, for Riverhead Town Board.
We are asking that you come meet Kevin and see how you might fit into his circle of campaign supporters and volunteers.
A few of us were hoping for a meeting and chat session. We are so pleased that Kevin and Versha were kind enough to offer their place to gather in.
