Walter W. Stiern Library at CSUB

Walter W. Stiern Library at CSUB Through its programs and services, our mission is to provide access to information. The Walter W. The Dean of Libraries oversees all operations and services.

Stiern Library opened in 1994 and is the largest building on the California State University, Bakersfield campus. The 150,000 square-foot building houses nearly half a million volumes and provides electronic access to more than 30,000 periodical titles via its hundreds of computer terminals. The Library is managed and operated by 27 staff members and faculty librarians. The Library also maintains a branch library at the CSUB Antelope Valley campus in Lancaster.

Ms. Headlee is “an internationally recognized expert in communication, human behavior, and workplace culture,” an award-winning journalist, and the author of several books.
