September is Hunger Action Month!🧡
Today, we kicked off Hunger Action Month with our press conference, bringing together community leaders, elected officials, partners, and supporters to raise awareness about hunger in Kern County and the many ways our community can take action.
A special thank you to Mayor Goh, our elected officials, community leaders, and everyone who came out today to stand with us in the fight against hunger. Your support helps us continue serving individuals and families throughout Kern County. Feeding America
We’d also like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to our incredible sponsors for their continued partnership and commitment to our community:
Kaiser Permanente
Regal Edwards Bakersfield
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
Throughout September, our CAPK Food Bank is encouraging Kern County to join us in taking action against hunger. Mark your calendars and get involved:
September 1 – Hunger Action Day
September 4 – Houchin Blood Drive
September 19 – Community Box Building Day
September 29 – Feed the Need at the Kern County Fair
Every action matters. Whether you donate, volunteer, give blood, pack a box, or simply help spread the word, you can make a difference in the fight against hunger.
Let’s come together this September and show Kern County that when we take action together, we can help ensure no one goes hungry. 🧡
