The application for the 2026 Devil Pups youth leadership program is officially open! We are looking for boys and girls between 14 to 17 years old who are ready to spend a 10-day summer encampment at USMC Camp Pendleton. Be led under the instruction of Marines who build leaders. We are excited to share this upcoming community event hosted by the
Greater Bakersfield Republican Assembly —
A Night to Honor Veterans on December 11th, 2025 at Hodel’s Fine Country Dining.

This special evening is dedicated to celebrating and thanking the men and women who have served our country.

Dinner is free for all RSVP’d veterans, and community members have the opportunity to sponsor a meal to help support the cause.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the
Wounded Heroes Fund, a local organization committed to serving veterans in Kern County.

Bakersfield City Fire Department never hesitates when it comes to showing up for our veterans — whether it’s a parade, a ceremony, a pinning, or any moment of honor. When the call goes out, they’re there.

This derby is a chance for us to give that support right back.

Heroes giving back to heroes.

Let’s show them the same appreciation, respect, and love they continue to show our community and our veterans.
