VCKC is a non-profit organization managing hundreds of volunteers for org's like Kern County Office of Emergency Services, Kern County Animal Services, the SPCA, Optimal Hospice Care, City Serve, Habitat for Humanity, Military Veterans and more! About Us

ving and bettering Kern County. From sponsoring our annual Keep Kern County Cool Fan Drive for seniors to training volunteers in preparation for manning an Emergency Volunteer Center in the event of a disaster, we engage every opportunity to get people together and involved. Our Mission

To mobilize people and resources to deliver creative solutions to address community issues through volunteerism. VOLUNTEER CENTER OF KERN COUNTY is dedicated to shaping the community foundation by encouraging smart growth and optimal change throughout Kern County. The Volunteer Center of Kern County has remained active during the pandemic with responding to the requests of our essential organizations throughout Kern County for volunteer assistance. Our volunteers have been instrumental in providing much needed manpower to the COVID Testing Site (during July & August) and to Bakersfield Homeless Shelter, CAPK Food Bank and Golden Empire Gleaners throughout the situation (just to name a few). THANK YOU to our INCREDIBLE volunteers who continue to "give" of themselves on behalf of so many in our community. THANK YOU to those agencies who continue to respond EVERYDAY to the thousands of requests received!!!!

🚨 We Need Your Help! 🚨

The 2020 Annual Fan Drive is upon us just in time to beat the heat!

Please go to www.volunteercenter.info or call 395-9787 and donate $$$ for us to buy fans on a bulk discount rate for hundreds of needy Senior Citizens.

Our Senior Citizens are more challenged to stay cool this year because of the Covid-19 precautions. Many of them can't afford to run their A/C all day and will need fans to help keep them cool.

THANK YOU to everyone who supported our 5th annual Holiday Cinnamon Roll Sale on December 20th! It was a great success and we sold completely out!!! Looking forward to next year, usually the last Thursday prior to Christmas Day. See you then.....get your orders in early!!!
