Wounded Heroes Fund

Wounded Heroes Fund Dedicated to providing assistance to our brave service men and women. She could not help her father and other returning Vietnam veterans.

The Wounded Heroes Fund is a service organization for those Veterans affected by the war on terror in an effort to provide them with support and appreciation they need in their return to civilian life. The Wounded Heroes Fund (WHF) is a community-wide organization dedicated to providing assistance to brave service men and women returning home from the battlegrounds of Iraq and Afghanistan. Wendy P

orter, the daughter of a Vietnam veteran, realized that more needed to be accomplished, especially for service members and their families to resume life after war. However, as Executive Director of the Wounded Heroes Fund, she is leading the effort to help the men and women who fought for our freedom in the Middle East.

A dream has become a reality! 🇺🇸

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Americal Awning and Four Seasons Building Products for helping bring our new backyard patio cover to life. Your generosity, craftsmanship, and support have created a welcoming outdoor space that will benefit our veterans and their families for years to come.

This new addition gives us the opportunity to expand our programs beyond our office walls by providing a comfortable place for cooking classes, support groups, family events, Coffee & Donuts, volunteer activities, and community gatherings. It also offers a shaded, inviting environment where veterans can simply relax, connect with one another, and build the camaraderie that is so important after military service.

Thank you for believing in our mission and investing in those who have sacrificed so much for our country. Together, we’re creating a place where our local heroes feel welcomed, supported, and at home.

🇺🇸 D-Day – June 6, 1944 🇺🇸

Today, we honor the brave men who stormed the beaches of Normandy and changed the course of history.

In the face of overwhelming odds, they demonstrated extraordinary courage, selflessness, and determination in the fight for freedom. Many never returned home, giving their lives so future generations could live free.

Eighty-two years later, we continue to remember their sacrifice and the price that was paid for the liberties we enjoy today.

To the heroes of D-Day: your courage will never be forgotten, your sacrifice will never be overlooked, and your legacy will live on forever.

We remember. We honor. We are forever grateful.
