Numerous but rather disorganized pocket-sized showers and thunderstorms are expected throughout today and tonight. There is a Marginal (1 of 5) Risk that a few storms may become severe between 10 AM and 10 PM. The main hazards are wind gusts up to 60 mph and brief and/or weak tornadoes.

There is a very conditional risk for strong thunderstorms this afternoon and evening generally after 5PM. Some storms could become severe, with hail up to the size of quarters and wind gusts up to 60 mph the primary hazards. There is also a low risk for tornadoes along and south of the Arkansas border.

There is a conditional risk for severe weather this afternoon and evening between 3 PM and 8 PM. Hail up to the size of ping pong balls will be the primary hazard, with a low risk for wind gusts to 60 mph and a brief tornado.

Showers and thunderstorms will likely be ongoing across portions of the area Tuesday morning. Instability will develop south of the front Tuesday afternoon, generally south of Interstate 44 where strong to severe storms will be possible. Hail up to half dollar size and damaging winds up to 60 mph are the main threats.
