Slipper is comprised of hundreds of individuals of all ages who give back to the Club year after year, generation after generation because they are passionate about what Slipper does. Through a variety of philanthropic endeavors, Slipper fosters an atmosphere of giving and friendship. Our members give from their hearts - financially, through their expertise, their time, and their teamwork - to hel

p the organization maintain and grow an unmatched summer camp for children, a college scholarship fund for deserving students, a welcoming center for senior citizens, and many other initiatives. In return, members “get” infinitely more than they “give.” Namely, the pride of helping the community, the joy of seeing the fruits of their labor come to life, and the camaraderie that comes with being actively involved. This passion dates back to 1922, when a group of Jewish Masons gathered regularly to socialize and play cards. They'd divide up their winnings and distribute them to families in need of money for food, coal, and other essentials. These selfless acts of kindness are the roots and the inspiration of Golden Slipper Club & Charities, now nearly 800 members strong. Today the tradition continues. Golden Slipper continually finds ways to serve young and old. Operated almost exclusively by members and volunteers, Golden Slipper Club takes pride in serving the Greater Philadelphia region.

Dear Golden Slipper Community:

As we approach Hanukkah and the last few days of 2024, some of us are dreaming of summer!
Each summer, hundreds of children ages 7 to 15, along with our professionally trained and caring staff, come to Golden Slipper Camp for a fantastic summer experience. Our unique charitable structure allows us to significantly subsidize camp tuition for many children, who otherwise would not be able to afford the enrichment of camp. But we cannot do this without your help! In order to maintain our facilities, feed our campers, and continue to provide excellent programming, it takes support from our Golden Slipper community. For many years, this endeavor has been a passion for fellow Slipper Member, David Levy, our Golden Citizen for summer 2024.
Please join us for an enjoyable evening of celebration and community on April 10, 2025 with a Cocktail Reception at the Philadelphia Distillery. We will celebrate David’s dedication to Golden Slipper and kick off our Annual Appeal, CAMPaign 2025. Our annual CAMPaign is vital in allowing us to provide meaningful scholarships for our camp families and run Golden Slipper Camp with the same excellent standards we have for over 75 years.
As valued members of our community, we wanted to give you the first opportunity to sponsor our event before December 31, so that it can be included in your 2024 giving. Individual ticket purchases are also available.

Every summer, we celebrate a Slipper member who truly embodies the spirit of our community. David has consistently shown integrity, friendship, loyalty, leadership, and compassion, inspiring not just our camp, but everyone around him.
