The Village of Bald Head Island makes use of a variety of forms of media to communicate to the public in an accur
ate, timely, and open manner. To that end, the Village of Bald Head Island has social media accounts as a way to provide information to the public. The Village may “share” posts made by other entities to inform its audience (residents, property owners, visitors, etc.) The original posts and the comments associated with them are the views and opinions of the authors and/or commenters and do not reflect those of the Village of Bald Head Island. The Village may pre-schedule messages in order to reach a wide audience. Repeated messaging (especially about specific rules/ordinances) does not necessarily indicate that these activities are occurring at an unusual rate. Please note that all comments, regardless of content, are disabled and/or heavily filtered on the Village’s social media accounts and will not appear to most users. Comments and/or questions will not be responded to by Village Staff. The views and opinions expressed are those of the commenter and do not reflect those of the Village of Bald Head Island. This helps the Village maintain its records in a common format for dissemination to Village Staff and elected officials. Per North Carolina General Statute 160A-81.1, the Council shall provide at least one period for public comment per month at a regular meeting of the Council. The Village Council schedules its public comment period during its regular meetings which are typically conducted on the third Friday of the month at 10:00 a.m. in the Public Safety Multi-Purpose Room located in the Public Safety Building which is located on Edward Teach Wynd across from Merchant’s Row.
