Brunswick County announced that it moved from Stage 2 to Stage 1 Water Restrictions. Under Stage 1, all water usage adjustments become voluntary. Please review the announcement for details.

💧 WATER UPDATE (August 31, 2026) 💧
Thank you to everyone who helped us reduce peak demands for water from ’s public water system this summer! 👏 Based on your efforts, as well as improving weather conditions, we have moved back from a Stage 2 Mandatory Water Conservation Alert to a Stage 1 Voluntary Water Conservation Alert. Learn more: https://ow.ly/NJ3R50ZhI0V

We ask that you continue to and follow our recommended irrigation schedule. Following this schedule will help to even out peak demands and keep water pressures higher during daylight hours, improve storage for firefighting capability, reduce water loss due to evaporation, and reduce irrigation system adjustments if/when mandatory water conservation measures are required in the future.
