Baldwin Area EMS would like to thank Charlie's Hope for their donation for an Advanced Airway Management task trainer!

Dawn Kameo, a fellow first responder/fire fighter and the CEO of Charlie's Hope has graciously donated the training mannequin to Baldwin area EMS in honor of her son, Charlie.

Charlie's hope gives life saving training tools for Fire dept and EMS education to allow others to continue and grow Charlie's passion in life. He was a Marine at Camp Pendleton in the 2/5 Devil Dog Battalion. Charlie had always wanted to be a firefighter from the age of 6 and he is the reason Dawn became one. Charlie was fortunate to be on the Hudson Fire Department Explorer Program in high school. After high school, he went into the Marines. October 28, 2025, 3 days before his 22nd birthday, Charlie was killed in a tragic multiple vehicle accident.

Dawn (quotes) "Without a doubt, nothing has been as painful as losing a child. A part of my heart was ripped away that day and honestly will never heal. Everywhere Charlie went, he carried a bright light of compassion, empathy, confidence, humor, integrity, selflessness and above all HOPE. Charlie’s Hope is my way of turning my grief and loss into something that honors him."

Charlie’s Hope is there to help those that help others.

Charlie’s Hope is a Wisconsin based 501c3 non-profit. Its mission is to purchase life saving training tools for Fire Departments and further EMS education for pre-existing firefighters, when traditional avenues (Federal grants/State) are exhausted.
