Today marks the 15 year anniversary of the Line of Duty Death of Michael P Esposito. May 18, 2011 at 3:37 AM we were dispatched to a Report of a House Fire. It was Alarm # 2011-0681 at 2870 Grand Ave just North of The Wander Inn. While we were operating at the house fire, Michael suffered a Heart Attack and succumbed to his injuries at South Nassau Communities Hospital a short while later. Mike was posthumously promoted to Rank of Chief on this his 10th Anniversary of the LODD in 2021. God Bless Mike and his family.

The Baldwin Fire Department is always committed to educating and training our members to better serve our community.

Recently, our members participated in a hands-on field training led by the Nassau County Fire Marshal’s Office, focusing on scene preservation, along with a live demonstration featuring their accelerant detection K9.

Training opportunities like these help ensure our firefighters are prepared with the knowledge and skills needed both on and off the fireground.

This valuable training was conducted under the direction of Chief of Department Michael Parise, whose leadership continues to strengthen our department’s commitment to excellence.

Thank you to the Nassau County Fire Marshal’s Office for providing this outstanding educational experience.

🚨 Community Notice 🚨

Tonight starting around 7:00 PM, the Baldwin Fire Department will be conducting a training drill at the location of the Baldwin Coach Diner.

Residents may notice a large Fire Department presence, emergency vehicles, and visible smoke in the area. Please be advised that this is only a drill and there is no cause for alarm.

These training exercises are essential in helping our members stay prepared and ready to serve our community safely and effectively.
