Yesterday Lt. Dean and Det. Smith visited the residents of 99 Bridge St. as part of the towns TRIAD coalition. Topics that were requested and discussed were AI scams and how DNR/MOLST forms are used.

At 5:17 a.m. july 26, 2026, 29 forrestry 2, 29 Engine 1 and 29 Rescue 1 responded to a report of a car vs pole in the area of 81 state rd. Upon arrival command reported a single vehicle into a pole with a single occupant still in the vehicle. Command immediately requested lifeflight to gardner airport to take transfer of a critical care patient. Incident is being invesigated by MSP.

Templeton Fire Department Responds to Large Vehicle Fire on Baldwinville Road
At approximately 2:06 a.m. on Thursday, July 2, the Templeton Fire Department was dispatched to 223 Baldwinville Road following reports of a large column of smoke.
Upon arrival, the first-due engine company and Fire Chief David Dickie found a significant fire involving more than 15 vehicles. Due to the limited on-site water supply and the immediate threat of the fire spreading to additional vehicles, a second alarm was requested. As the incident continued to escalate, a third alarm was struck to provide additional firefighting personnel.
Mutual aid departments worked together to establish a reliable water supply, requiring the deployment of more than 2,000 feet of large-diameter supply hose. Once a sustained water supply was established, crews continued suppression operations and successfully brought the fire under control.
In total, 57 vehicles sustained fire damage during the incident. No firefighter injuries were reported.
The Templeton Fire Department extends its sincere appreciation to our mutual aid partners from the Barre, Gardner, Phillipston, Hubbardston, Westminster, and Winchendon Fire Departments for their rapid response and assistance. We also thank the Templeton Communications Center (Dispatch) and the Templeton Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) for their invaluable support throughout the incident.
The Templeton Fire Department is grateful for the coordinated efforts of all agencies involved. Their teamwork, professionalism, and commitment were instrumental in the successful management of this challenging incident.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. No additional information is being released at this time, and no further statements will be made while the investigation is ongoing.

At 18:07 hours on Friday June 12th Templeton Fire Department was notified of a possible structure fire on Patriots road. Upon arrival of police they reported smoke coming from the second floor above the garage. With the help of an off duty Winchendon firefighter that was passing by it was confirmed that everyone was safely out of the building, and the fire was then contained to the room of origin. The initial arriving Templeton fire crews finished extinguishing the fire. with help from Gardner and Winchendon Fire Departments the rest of the house was checked for fire extension and vented of smoke. The fire was declared extinguished at 18:43 hours.
Thank you to our mutual aid partners, Templeton Police, Templeton Dispatch, Templeton Light and Water for their assistance during this incident. The fire is being investigated by the District 8 Fire Investigation Unit and the Templeton Fire Department. At this time the fire does not appear to be suspicious but the investigation is ongoing.

Just before 6 p.m. Wednesday evening. 29 Ladder 1, 29 Engine 3 and 29 A1 responded mutual aid to the town of winchendon to assist with their 3rd alarm structure fire on Benjamin Street.

No there is no real fire. Templeton fire’s SAFE program is spending the week at Templeton Elementary teaching how to stay low in smoke. Templeton is part of fire district 8 which has the SAFE trailer for hands on education and trainings.
