🇺🇸✨Stars, stripes, and summer smiles! Our TJH Summer learners came together to learn about and prepare for Flag Day. It was a great day filled with pride, learning, and of course cake and popsicles to celebrate their hard work the last two weeks!❤️🤍💙

We want to thank all of our helpers and guests! Leslie Constance, thank you for organizing! Ryan Bourque, thank you for making sure we had a sound system and microphone. Thank you to our guests; Mr. Wilton Barrios, Mrs. Mollie Fontenot, Mrs. Kelly Walker, and Dr. Susan Barrow Dewees! Thank you to our awesome ELA session 1 teachers: Molly Johnson, Miranda Decrane, Leslie Constance, JoAnn Stanley, and, Kathy Richey. We even want to thank our construction workers who temporarily stopped working so we could have our flag ceremony. Rapides Parish is truly better together!❤️

Congratulations to our band students who made the Louisiana Bandmasters Association All-Star Band!

Everette B., Colton D., Tristan D., Lexi D., Ava E. (1st Chair Flute in the Symphonic Band), Colbin F., Drake G. (1st Chair Oboe in the Symphonic Band), Sonny I., Heavenly J., Maci M., Jasmine W. (1st Chair Alto Saxophone in the Concert Band), and Joyanna W.

These students earned the opportunity to:
• rehearse and perform with 300+ of the best middle-school-age musicians from all over Louisiana.
• meet the world-famous composer JaRod Hall whom our band performed a piece by in their sweepstakes award-winning assessment performance in March. The kids were excited to meet the composer in person!
• tour and rehearse in college facilities at ULL.
• watch the high school Blast Band and Jazz Band perform.

We are so proud of these students for representing our band, our school, and our community on a state-level! Way to go Braves!

Session 1: June 1-11 8:00-2:00
Session 2: June 15-25 8:00-2:00

đź“ŤStudents will be dropped off and picked up in our car rider line and bus line from 7:30-8:00 and 1:45-2:00 each day (Monday-Thursday).
