Governor Kathy Hochul is asking New Yorkers to set their thermostats between 75° and 78° to reduce electricity demand. After years of pushing electric vehicle mandates, restricting natural gas in new construction, and converting productive farmland into large-scale solar projects, New Yorkers are now being asked to use less energy while some of the state’s biggest commercial consumers continue operating as usual.

Despite the continued loss of farmland to large scale solar, solar didn’t even merit its own title share in New York’s electricity demand during one of this summer’s hottest days (see the chart in the comments). That raises an important question: Is Albany’s energy strategy delivering the reliable, affordable power New Yorkers were promised?

This is the time to talk with your friends, neighbors, and family members who may not normally vote Republican. We don’t have to agree at the national level to agree at the state and local level! Share this message of common sense and encourage them to support leaders who will fight for affordable, reliable energy and practical solutions—not political slogans.

Vote for Bruce Blakeman, Ralph Ambrozio, and John Antoski.

The Town of Ballston Republican Committee proudly endorses John Antoski for election and encourages all voters to support his candidacy. At a time when unity and effective governance are essential, the Republican Committee believes it is important for candidates and elected officials to place the interests of the community above personal political ambitions. We therefore respectfully call upon Eric Connolly to demonstrate leadership and a commitment to Republican values by withdrawing his pursuit of a third-party ballot line. Multiple candidates representing similar constituencies risk dividing voters and creating unnecessary distractions from the issues that matter most to Ballston residents. By stepping aside from a third-party effort and supporting the Republican ticket, Mr. Connolly would help strengthen party unity and ensure that voters have a clear and consistent vision for the future of our town.

06/24/2026

On behalf of the Ballston Republican Committee we would like to congratulate John Antoski on his victory in the primary for Ballston Town Supervisor. As we’ve seen this election cycle, primaries can be hard fought with passionate supporters on both sides. Eric Connolly ran a good campaign and deserves to be recognized for his desire to once again serve the Town. The voters have spoken and now it’s time to set our sights on winning in November.
