Another successful Smart Choices demonstration was presented by the Ballston Spa Fire Department at the High School on May 28, 2026. This event shows students first hand what can happen when getting behind the wheel intoxicated or just distracted. Over 40 people participated in this scenario including the BSFD, as well as Malta Ridge Volunteer Fire Company, Saratoga County Sheriff's Office, Ballston Spa Police Department, Community Emergency Corps, Armer Funeral Home, Inc., and Michael's Automotive. A huge thank you to everyone that participated including the four student actors who helped portray this real world scenario and for helping us talk about the real conversations that need to be had, especially around Prom and Graduation!
