Our colleague, registered dietician Diane Whitten, recently tipped us off to a new website she found, Menustat. It is a free online national database created by New York City Health Dept. which offers nutrition info on 66 of the most popular chain restaurants in America. Estimates as high as 1/3 of our calories are eaten away from home so this is a valuable tool to help navigate the best and worst food choices when dining out! You can view nutrition information by menu item, food category, or restaurant,
and track nutrition changes over time
