FAQ: How do I obtain a handicap parking permit?

Handicap Parking Placards are available at the Town Clerk's office. You must have a completed application (https://cms8.revize.com/revize/miltonny/Document_center/Documents/Town%20Clerk/Documents/Application%20for%20Parking%20Permit%20for%20persons%20with%20Disablilities.pdf) from your physician. You must apply for the placard at the Town Clerk's office of the town you live in.

Temporary placards are only issued for 6 months and must be renewed with a new completed application from your physician.

Permanent placards are issued for 5 years. At this time, renewal is done without a new application. You will just need to bring in your existing, Town of Milton, placard and we will automatically renew.

If you are moving into the Town of Milton and have a placard from another municipality, we do require a new completed application from your physician for our files.

Today at the Ballston Spa High School...

Please be aware, on Thursday May 28, 2026 starting at approx. 9:45am the Ballston Spa Fire Department will be hosting "Smart Choices", a crash re-enactment, in the Ballston Spa High School bus loop. This program is designed to show students what could happen on Prom night if they decide to either drink and drive or get into a vehicle with someone under the influence. During this simulation there will participation by the Ballston Spa Police Department, Saratoga County Sheriff's Office, Community Emergency Corps, Malta Ridge Volunteer Fire Company, LifeNet of New York (weather permitting), and Armer Funeral Home, Inc. If you are in the area and see lights/sirens, etc. please know this is a planned event and there is no cause for concern. Spectators are not permitted on campus during this event. This is a great experience for the students to see why it's important to make the right choice not only during prom season, but every day of their lives.
